NORTH PORT, Fla. – A Florida man was bitten by an alligator after apparently mistaking it for a dog in the middle of the night.

    Florida man in a motel, could be. I'll cut the guy a huss if he was an out of stater. In stater not so much. Something like 1.2 million of the critters in Fl and for some reason, that I don't get, they are protected. About any time you drive past a body of water you will see them.

    In this case it ooks like the critter's bite was worse than its bark.
