Fuck this shit, we're outta here

A Portland, Oregon clothing store permanently closed last week after a wave of robberies that left the store damaged and without the financial resources to carry on, and the owner says that Democratic Mayor Ted Wheeler is doing "nothing for the root cause of the problem."

  1. "Democratic Mayor Ted Wheeler" *IS* the root cause of the problem.

  2. First and primary job of any gov't is to keep its citizens safe. Fail at that, everything else is irrelevant.

    1. When the government's responsibility is keeping citizens safe it looks like the first priority is homeless, druggy citizens.

  4. And then people (half of whom have looted the same store) will bitterly complain that all the stores are closing because they are racist , not because they have been bankrupted by looters

  6. I think we're going to be seeing a lot more business closures like this.

My wife does antique fairs, where individuals set up tables to sell their goods. It's gotten to the point that even this type of merchant is being stolen blind. There are actually couples that will roam the seller's tables and while one distracts the vendor the other will swipe whatever they can pocket quickly.

Thieves are everywhere, the civil society is history. Thanks, Dems.

  9. Can't help but wonder if these people voted to surrender their power to the state and local government responsible for the hellscape they live in. Whether they personally did or did not, there are plenty more there that will continue to endorse the politics that bring this type of stuff about. Sometimes you get the government you deserve.

  10. Reminds me of the farce called food deserts. Grocery stores close in areas where they loose more product to shoplifting by the vibrancy than they sell...same same.
