I'll say it has mental issues

COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) — The first openly transgender woman set to be executed in the U.S. is asking Missouri’s governor for mercy, citing mental health issues.

Lawyers for Amber McLaughlin, now 49, on Monday asked Republican Gov. Mike Parson to spare her.

  1. My belief is that everybody that is transgendered has mental health issues. That mental illness is not grounds to postpone the execution.

  4. The comment "we've only executed one woman before" cracked me up. That's not changing here sis.

  5. "“It is extremely unusual for a woman to commit a capital offense, such as a brutal murder, and even more unusual for a women to, as was the case with McLaughlin, rape and murder a woman,” Pojmann said."

And, apparently, it's going to remain that way. Ain't no woman in this story, and I think the rape charge makes that rather clear.

  6. The officials who refer to this freak as a woman have some serious mental issues as well.

  8. My schenfreude wish is: I hope, as the needle is inserted in the Tranny's vein and the plunger is slowly pushed, the "exicutioner" says "Take it like a man".

  9. Calling that a "her" validates it's mental illness.

  10. Wait a minute: If she's mentally ill, then why should we fund it?

  12. He can't possibly have mental health issues because embracing one's transgender self is the magical rainbow cure for all mental illnesses, self-doubt, and social insecurity. All better now! Bonus points for clinging to his female identity while using his penis as a tool of violent rape, and triple bonus points for asking for mercy as a woman, because the State is loathe to execute women. Well played, Rapist Dude!

  13. Funny how that works. Kinda like how quickly a "non binary gender fluid blah blah blah" turns into "a man dressed up like a woman" when it's one of them shooting up the school or a gay bar, in this new era of the transgender mass shooter.

  14. She tried to kill herself multiple times, both as a child and as an adult….

Well, now the state of Missouri will actually correct what were evidently failed attempts….

I think they should pacify “it” by using both AC and DC current.

Why should he be given any kind of mercy…did he show Beverly Guenther mercy while raping and stabbing her to death???

If Parsons stays this execution he will be opening the door to every person convicted to transition so they can get off without finishing out their sentence.

If the transgender community wants “equal rights” it starts right now!

And I’m appalled that “we the tax payers” have had to pay for this asshole to transition while in state custody.

  15. "There is no known case of an openly transgender inmate being executed in the U.S. before,......."
Welp, there's a first time for everything.

  16. There was a time when criminals understood that getting mixed up about whether were men or women wasn't going to help their case.
