Lubed up for ease of exit

A cooking oil truck rolled over in Lee County Thursday morning, spilling over 1,300 gallons of cooking oil and ejecting two men from the truck.

The Florida Highway Patrol posted the dramatic video of the crash to Twitter on Thursday.

  1. Show two guys trying to handle a heavy truck like a sports car. You got a load of liquid the last thing you want to do is make it slosh. I have seen it put trucks through an intersection.

    They are pretty lucky.

    1. Driving a tank truck requires a specific endorsement on the Commercial Driver's License. Shoulda' known better. Maybe driver swerved to avoid a bicyclist, or more importantly, a squirrel?

  6. Why was the camera on that area and then zoomed in? There was nothing there to see but somehow caught the "accident". There is more to this I think

    1. The cameras around our facility auto track 'threats' ie moving vehicles and zoom in when the software decides it needs too. Its kind of weird but very much like this.

  9. Exactly... you always have to take into account someone is filming and WHY?

  10. You know, the nearer your destination the more you're slip-sliding away, right?
