Man arrested after fighting with NYPD officers, tossing one like ‘a rag doll’

A man who fought with two NYPD officers trying to stop him from blocking traffic at a Brooklyn intersection was arrested Tuesday, police said.

Zayan Shar, 21, was charged with assault, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct over the caught-on-camera scuffle Friday afternoon at Avenue H and Flatbush Avenue in South Midwood near Brooklyn College, according to the NYPD.

  1. Almost didn't recognise that Amish kid. He must just be back from Florida cause he looks really tanned.

  2. It wasn't clear to me from the video if the cops were women. Back when I was growing up, Kelly the Cop was the guy who walked our neighborhood. Nobody would have tossed him.

  3. The “retired NYPD police sergeant” has taken the Red pre-sweetened powder drink: “He tossed one cop like they were a rag doll.” Yeah, the pronoun train left the station, but I wasn’t on it.

  4. Too bad drivers just don’t drive over these MFers blocking traffic. Of course, it’s NYC, so they cut losers a break.

  5. Two female officers? One was for sure. The second might have been, and looked about half the size of the obvious female officer.

What happened to the idea of tasers and beanbag rounds? Putting officers who are physically not up to the job out on the street requires they learn to be a little more tactical.
