Now there's something you don't hear about every day

HUMPHREYS COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — A human heart has been found in a salt pile in Humphreys County, according to Sheriff Chris Davis.

News 2’s Stephanie Langston was the first to break the news Friday morning as the Sheriff recalled what had unfolded the day before.

  1. More than likely that road grade salt came from the big mine under Lake Erie . Yes ! There is a state dumb enough to dig a salt mine under one of the Great Lakes . Welcome to the festering blister on Americas nutsack , Ohio .

    1. Look up the 1980 Lake Peigneur drilling disaster. Drilling for oil in a lake with a salt mine under it. Apparently there was some confusion as to location of mine or drilling rig... From searching on Louisiana, salt mine, and lake, it would appear salt mines under lakes are more common than one might expect.

  3. Maybe if they dig deeper into that pile of salt they will find the rest of whoever it was.

  4. Should be kind of simple to figure this one out shouldn’t it? “Which one of these corpses in the morticians lab is missing their heart? Oh, that one? OK, mystery solved.” However, remembering some ancient lore about vampires and evil demons,I think one way to make sure they don’t come back is to salt their heart. So, there’s that…
