FOLSOM - Law enforcement officials say a family dog stayed by the side of two young girls after they got lost for hours Monday evening.
According to the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office, 7-year-old Abigail Bourg and 4-year-old Cecilia Bourg went missing while playing with their golden retriever Artemis in their front yard around 5 p.m. Monday.
Dogs are the best. I was out mending fence yesterday. Maggie Mae is always with me in the fields. She stays next to me while I work. Once she sees I have half a clue of what I'm doing she will go explore a bit. Then I turn around and she is back, laying down watching me. Headed back to the house on the tractor she is trotting along side. Just a tremendous companion. Oh, when outside I'll ask her, where's Lee, and by gar every time she will find her. I do that for a reason.
Artemis more than lived up to his (?) name. BZ Pup!

ReplyDeleteGreat dog!
ReplyDeleteMine is all nose and would hang out until an interesting scent captured her attention and lead her off somewhere.
My wife likes to take a dog with her rock hounding. She knows that someone is watching and will let her know if anyone else is around.
ReplyDeleteGood grief, don't people watch their kids anymore? Two little girls? Hasn't their mother ever heard of "human trafficking"?
