3 arrests after girl wearing shock collar seeks help

STRATFORD, New Jersey (WPVI) -- Three women were arrested and charged after a horrific case of child abuse was discovered in Camden County, New Jersey.

Authorities say a 13-year-old girl was forced to wear a shock collar meant for a dog around her neck.

Neighbor Karen Villec said it was on the afternoon of Tuesday, March 1, when she heard her doorbell ring repeatedly.

"I open the door and she hands me this dog collar. And I go, 'Is your dog loose?' She said, 'No, they shocked me! They shocked me!' And she put up her neck and I saw the two marks from the dog collar," said Villec, adding that the collar was vibrating in her hand.

Here's what gas cost the year you started driving

ORLANDO, Fla. - Your wallet is probably feeling a major sting right now.

Gas prices have risen to historic levels with the average now over $4 per gallon. Experts say we haven't seen prices that high since 2008. AAA explains that gas prices are surging because of sanctions against Russia, which has limited its ability to sell oil on the global market.

With 2022 bringing sticker shock to drivers, you may be reminiscing about lower gas price days. Stacker ran the numbers for what gas cost per gallon over the last several decades using data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Restaurant tips have gotten stingier, Square data shows

Saying it’s been a tough two years for the restaurant business is an understatement. Between shutdowns, supply chain issues and staffing shortages, restaurants have asked customers to help keep business alive and be patient.

That patience may be wearing thin, if the amount of tips people are leaving is any indication.

With Biden's rampant inflation in full swing, I'm surprised people can still afford to go out to eat.
Hell, with the price of gas lately, I'm surprised they can afford to drive to a restaurant.

Filling a gas-powered vehicle may still be cheaper than charging an electric one

Many electric cars owners have been reveling in their purchases as gasoline prices reach record highs.

The national average for a gallon of gas hit $4.25 on Wednesday, up from $4.17 the day before, and it is expected to rise as the fallout of economic sanctions levied on Russia in response to its invasion of Ukraine continues to trickle through the petroleum industry.

U.S. electricity prices, which are heavily regulated in most states, have remained stable, however, and the cost to charge an electric car is still much lower than filling up one with an internal combustion engine, but only if you have a place to plug it in at home or a lot of time on your hands.

The Revolvers of Tiger McKee

The big white dot of the front sight centers on the target as your finger rolls the trigger back, so smoothly it feels like an oiled ball bearing. The recoil of the .357 Magnum round is more reassuring than painful and the stippled grip doesn’t move inside your grasp at all as the trigger slides smoothly back forward, the white ball already centered again on the shot group forming downrange.

You are shooting a “Chopper,” a sweet Smith & Wesson revolver made all the sweeter by the ministrations of one Tiger McKee.

The Chopper featured here is one of a pair he built for Roger Caudle, a regular customer who already owns two or three McKee revolvers. It began as a Model 66-1 from the good ol’ days before internal locks, with a 2.5″ barrel and S&W’s micrometer adjustable sight. It looks a lot different now.

Gun Violence and the Wild West

There is actually a real misconception of the Old West that truly needs correcting. That is the notion of an uncivilized Wild West, where antisocial and violent behavior was the norm, and where citizens were afraid to leave their homes, afraid of rampant crime and in fear for their lives. This savage perspective turns out to be incorrect—false assumptions of the Old West based on sensationalist press, the Buffalo Bill Wild West Show of the 1880s and ‘90s, and subsequently cowboy shows and Hollywood movies. Bands of working cowboys and good citizens did not go about town in their leisure time challenging, outdrawing, and shooting each other in a systematized orgy of violence and gunfights as portrayed in the movies.

Global Governments Begin Warning of Critical Food Shortages

First things first, there is no need for panic, and it is important to remember the United States is a net food exporter. The U.S. is blessed with a food production and capacity industry that leads the world. We have fertile land, abundant harvests and the strong advantage of food independence.

That said, the influence of multinational corporations in our agriculture industry over the past three decades has ramifications, and we have outlined exhaustively, on these pages, what the real-world consequences are. As we head into a chapter of global food crisis, the food production capacity of the United States can be viewed as an asset, but only insofar as we are willing to secure a national food supply for our own America-First interests.
