Ann Arbor requiring masks among returning students, staff for two weeks

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (FOX 2) - Ann Arbor Public Schools will require masks be worn by students and staff entering buildings in the district for the first two weeks of class following the end of winter break.

The district said from Jan. 9-20, they'll operate with an updated health code that seeks to reduce the spread of respiratory illness like RSV and the flu. COVID-19 also remains a pressing concern among health officials.

    1. Ann Arbor is completely liberal and has been for many years. It's not a good representation of the rest of the state.

  4. The masks do nothing for the person wearing it, and very little for others. If someone has COVID and is coughing and sneezing, a mask does a very slight amount to keep the aerosol partially contained. But it does nothing to protect the wearer. Maybe these mask advocates should paint a car wearing a paper mask, even an N95. I guarantee you that the inside of their nose, mouth and lungs will be the same color as the car they are painting.

And, if a $0.25 mask could stop a virus, then why does the Army use biohazard suits costing several thousands of dollars for virus protection.

  5. Perhaps they didn't get the memo that masks don't work. They only give you "maskne", a bacterial infection around your mouth.
