He's on an island - where would he run to?

After an hours-long barricade situation Tuesday, an armed suspect on Catalina Island was taken into custody by deputies with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, officials said.

    The perp did have an out. According to the 4 Preps Santa Catalina is 26 miles aross the sea. Besides sharks and strong currents it's an easy swim to the main land.
