This happened to my sister. She opened her front door one morning and found a miniature Schnauzer sitting on her stoop, looking at her. Just stayed there, didn't bark or cause trouble. No collar or chip, but he looked pretty well-fed, although he was a little skinny. She published a notice but no responses were received. A great little dog too - but he just made his mind up and that was that.
A few days after my beloved 16yo kitty died, a stranger cat walked up to the back door and sat down, obviously waiting to be let in. After recovering my composure, I opened the door and invited her in. Little fucker got up and sauntered away. Asshole.

ReplyDeleteDogs are amazing creatures. Ours is a knucklehead but amazing none the less.
