Several Texas universities have begun the practice, in the staff hiring process, of requiring statements in favor of diversity, equity, and inclusion policies, or DEI, as well as examples of ‘anti-racist’ behavior. Job applicants are required to state multiple times in which they have participated in ‘anti-racist’ behavior in an effort to ‘deconstruct white supremacy.’
Call that the strophe.
suggestion:
ReplyDeleteremove all public and private funding from all universities - period. Remove All Funding! (I have no idea what to do about the m/billions that some of the universities have banked ovwer the past 50± years.)
you want to go to college, pay out of your own pocket! no subsidies: for any reason.
one benefit: lot of nonsense majors will disappear within a year, as will a lot of administrative positions.
The what would fund the basset-baw and foo-ball orograms?
DeleteTNX for bringing it up. Just what is the purpose of the "Institutes of Higher Learning"?
DeleteEvidently, OJT for future professional basset-baw and foo-ball players.
DeleteAnd I can't believe my typos in the above post...
I live near a famous D1 NCAA school (Go vols!) Lemme tell ya... there ain't no money troubles with the foobaw and bassetbaw programs of study....
DeleteThat being said I agree with the original concept. We are voting here to ditch federal education money entirely. Politicians pushing it argue let Tennesseans decide how Tennesseans should be educated. These leftists can't do without their filthy lucre. We recognize that here, and reject it. As with debt, you become a slave.
Every University should proudly display their requirements for faculty and students. This, so every graduate can include this when they apply for work in the real world.
ReplyDeleteGood idea. I believe its happening already. People in real working trades know the difference between a degree from Howard and one from Case Western.
