An internal investigation by the Oregon Liquor and Cannabis Commission, obtained by The Associated Press via a public records request Wednesday, concluded that Executive Director Steve Marks and five other agency officials had diverted sought-after bourbons, including Pappy Van Winkle’s 23-year-old whiskey, for their personal use.

And anyone surprised that a commission of this sort was not getting some sort of favors granted really needs to pay more attention. Either party plays by these rules.

DeleteTake for example the many cops busted for various attempts at supplementing their incomes. A six figure income and a comfortable pension after 20 years of 'service' and they're willing to risk throwing it all away for just a little bit more. It must be that their egos tell them that they're worth it. I don't get it.
What good is having a government position if you or your family cannot benefit from it. You would have to fire everyone.
