I know this sounds weird but I have a problem with the upside down star (pentagram) on the Medal of Honor. And while I'm at it the flag on the military uniform nowadays is reversed with the stars in the front. I had a long discussion about the flag on the uniform with a guy that got a badge in Flag Protocol in becoming an Eagle Scout. Before the Boy Scouts became faggots. He agreed that yes it's not supposed to be that way. Find some old photographs of soldiers in WW2 and you'll see what I mean. Fuck - while I'm at it the stars on the 'elephant' on the GOP symbol is now upside down too. Upside down and inside out.
I had the honor of working for him in Korea. Humble and unassuming. You would never know he was the highest decorated soldier in American History. Needs to be a statue of him rather than George Floyd.

ReplyDeleteRobert Howard was a Soldier's Soldier and in general just a decent guy.

DeleteRegarding the flag the stars to the front symbolize running TOWARD the battle with the stripes to the rear as if in the wind.
