Looks like Valentine's Day was a bust

  1. My wife and I kept it low-key. Purchased a beef botana take-out order at our favorite Mexican food restaurant. It was delicious and we avoided the long wait times, crowded parking lots and traffic that signifies modern Valentine's Day. I'm not patient enough any more to do that BS. Our son and daughter shared the meal with us as well - damn good food.

  2. Same as always, we give each other a card and our favorite candies. It is all set out the night before with our stuff for work.

  3. I am blessed to have a husband who is an excellent cook. For our Valentine’s Day celebration he prepared a delicious dinner of Indian cuisine thus negating the chore of going to an overcrowded noisy restaurant while still enjoying a special meal. It was very enjoyable and the added bonus was spending the afternoon together in the kitchen.

  4. Had two lobsters steamed at the local market, bottle of bubbly, and a dozen yellow roses since the red ones they had left looked half wilted.
So glad I have someone to care for and who cares for me.

  5. This is amusing to us, but somebody's lovelife , if not their hopes 'n dreams just went up in smoke. On Valentine's. Painful.
