You'd think they'd check as soon as they saw the bullet holes

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Missouri police reportedly found the body of a missing man in the trunk of his car — but only after the vehicle had been towed to the station.

  1. Let me see if I have this straight...
The missing person's car is in some ladies driveway under a tarp, the missing person, the cars owner is dead in back and there is/are bullet holes and blood.
The cops show up and identify the car because the dead guy's dad has a remote start gizmo. (Too bad vehicles don't have some sort of vehicle identification number or license plate that could be checked...[/s])
They get permission from the lady to remove the dead guys stolen car (with him in it) and take it to the station... "officers were able to persuade the woman to remove the car from her driveway".
That's some police force.... there HAS to be more to it but still ...

  3. Geeeez….
    Keystone or (Bought off) cops

    1. Why isn’t the “resident” and uncle both downtown in separate interrogation rooms being asked how, when and why they came in possession of the vehicle.

    2. Why did they put a tarp over it and what we they going to do with it…?

    3. Do they know the deceased and what is the connection to him.

    4…..and on and on…

    5. They have enough already to hold the resident and uncle in custody as material witness or even charging them with the abuse of a corpse..

  4. It's Kansas City. Just another Democrap run city. This city has gone way downhill since I moved here in the mid 90s.

  5. Sounds like which ever cop found the body would have to do the investigation. So none of them no further than they had to.

  6. Cops are lazy. Years ago my motorcycle was stolen. Thief had to push my truck back to get to the bike. Fat ass cop came out, wrote up a report, and was ready to leave.

Me: Aren't you going to take fingerprints or something?
Him: You watch too much TV.
Me: See the open vent window? I don't open them, so it had to be the thief.
Him: You opened it and forget.
Me: No. I NEVER open them. See that big thumb print? Has to be the thief's.
Him: It's yours or one of your friends.
Me: Glared at him and said nothing.
    Him: OK. Fine.
And he reluctantly took the fingerprint.

A week later after my bike was recovered I went to the station to pick it up. The Captain had a note on the record indicating that he wanted to talk to me. He shook my hand, thanked me for insisting they do their job, then unfurled the criminal's record. It was a list of priors about 8 feet long. "This is a really bad man and thanks to you he is going away for a very long time." The thumb print was on the INSIDE of the wind which was proof of theft. Had it been on the outside the thief would have only been charged with possession of stolen merchandise.

Again, cops are lazy. But sadly, it's because the system lets them be lazy.
