Commentary: America’s Breaking Point on Sanctuary Policies

As modern society races forward to embrace digital technology and global connectivity, some time-worn principles remain unchanged. The truth matters. Results matter. Some ideas can be made fashionable with ubiquitous propaganda, media campaigns, and focus group-tested language. But, if those ideas do not deliver on their promises and serve the public, then the public will eventually sour on them.

  2. Before we deport the crimmigrants we need to extract a few years of hard labor from them to pay their costs. That's not slavery, that's restitution. Put them in a prison camp until they've performed enough work to pay their way back.

    1. Good luck with getting criminals to do enough work _correctly_ to even pay for the guards supervising them. Slavery worked only because mindless manual labor was worth more back then - and because most of the slaves weren't criminally minded, and the supervisors could kill the worst workers as an example to the others.

    2. Say what??? You're from up north, huh?
      Nobody in their right mind is going to kill a slave because he was a bad worker. They were investments and expensive. He'd have sold them.
