NEW YORK - A five-alarm fire erupted in the Bronx Sunday morning after an e-bike inside a grocery store caught fire. Firefighters spent hours extinguishing flames on East 180th and Grand Concourse. Seven people were injured — five firefighters, one EMS worker, and one civilian.
And how much carbon went into the atmosphere while someone was virtue signaling with electric toys?
ReplyDeleteAnon: The answer is zero. In fact, all fires caused by EV's are environmentally friendly because they reduce carbon emissions, stop glaciers from melting and bring dead whales back from the dead. It's, you know...science...
ReplyDeleteFor those of you thinking about buying an electric powered or assisted bike, dont park it in your house or attached garage- many spontaneous fires. you you cant leave them out when its freezing either, it ruins the battery. I’ve been told it’s usually the cheap chinese bikes are more likely to catch fire.
ReplyDeleteEven the more expensive and better made EV devices can explode and burn if damaged, and who doesn't have a spill on their scooter or bike? The problem is that the bike may not burn immediately after an accident. But hours or days later.
ReplyDeleteLithium batteries are the wrong technology for the EV Revolution. And the Revolution is a solution to a problem that doesn't exist.
