Wirecutter: Keyboards are replaceable on laptops and netbooks. I put a new one in my netbook, and it was pretty cheap. Would have been an easy fix, but.........two issues. Finding and releasing the (five) secret catches to open it up required a Utoob search. And then, the connector holding the ribbon cable to the motherboard disintegrated. It took a long time and multiple rounds of super glue to get it back in place. I'm never opening that one up again. Best I can recommend is take it to a shop and let the techno-geeks deal with it.
