Millions who rely on Medicaid may be booted from program

WASHINGTON (AP) — If you get health care coverage through Medicaid, you might be at risk of losing that coverage over the next year.

Roughly 84 million people are covered by the government-sponsored program, which has grown by 20 million people since January 2020, just before the COVID-19 pandemic hit.

  1. No worries, we will still have plenty of money to ship welfare to Ukraine and Israel. Let Americans suffer.

  2. About time - "But as states begin checking everyone’s eligibility for Medicaid for the first time in three years, as many as 14 million people could lose access to that health care coverage." and further down the article - "At the beginning of the pandemic, the federal government prohibited states from kicking people off Medicaid, even if they were no longer eligible. Before the pandemic, people would regularly lose their Medicaid coverage if they started making too much money to qualify for the program, gained health care coverage through their employer or moved into a new state."

    2. Illegals are getting Social Security $$$. You know, that part of the General Fund that's about to run out of $$$. Don't worry though, Welfare is fully funded.

  4. I know someone who worked in the unemployment office. They were told to do no checking for eligibility at the beginning of covid. Whoever asked for it, got it. They went from 350 mil a year to 3 billion. Now they are trying to figure out the cheats. The "elite" top were just trying to trash this country and still are.

  5. '... fundamentally change America ...'

But wait, there's more: An age old tenet is the victorious enemy acts to ridicule and mock and shame the conquered.

Everything, and I do mean everything, we have seen of the past two years can be explained as above. Pedo joe can't even pull on his undies, let alone pull the strings of power. Creepy joe is the puppet's puppet.

While the halfrican and his wicked masters haven't yet sealed our fate, they are moving forward largely unabated. They act as if they have already won. And why shouldn't they as we all stand around to watch the show.

  6. The fundamental flaw in the article is that these people are not eligible to get Medicaid, so revoking their coverage is good and appropriate. They're not being kicked off. They're ineligible in the first place and never should have been enrolled in the first place. They won't lose coverage if they are eligible for it. In the old day's it was called 'Playing by the Rules.' Today's rules are 'What can I get away with.'

    1. That's incorrect. They may have been perfectly eligible when they were on Medicaid, prior to 2021; however, the beneficient (ha) government prevented anyone from losing coverage during their covid fuckery. Anyone who was eligible in 2020 and is eligible today need not be concerned about this news.

  7. In the meantime, I continue to drop $800+ / month on my family for insurance. Makes me really want to pitch in and help out everyone else, too! Maybe some homeless can use a bedroom and set up some tents in my tomato garden. They might as well use my car as a toilet. Maybe they can steal some lawn tools while they're around.
