"No, look - here's my shiny badge!"

NEWARK, N.J. — A man in New Jersey tried to board a plane with guns, multiple rounds of ammunition, and a fake United States Marshals identification card in his baggage, officials say.

  1. I figured with a name like that we were looking at a Somali male, one each.
    Dude has a Linkedin profile. USMC, Homeland security, and 9 years as a PMC or bodyguard. Whether it's real or no, I wonder what will be made of this.

    1. Was that an _unarmed_ bodyguard, or was this before his 2016 felony conviction that made it a federal crime to have a gun in his possession?

  2. If he had any brains he should have checked the guns in the appropriate cases as luggage and secured the ammo as regulations require. Then they wouldn't have even batted an eye other than recording the serial numbers and ballistics impressions.

  4. Per the article, he has been a convicted felon since 2016. Perhaps we need a gun law that would prevent him from having those three firearms. A law would do that, right?
