Here in farm country, they still make the parking spots for mini cars not pickups. Even businesses whose main business is from farmers or service companies who mainly use pickups seem to have no concept of the difficulty of maneuvering one of the beasts into a parking spot made for a car. In the case of the pic above, it looks like someone has a pickup when they need a VW Bug.
How come people have gotten huge over the last 6 decades, vehicles genormacised in the last 2 decades, but parking places have remained as slim as they were when the horseless carriage took to the roads.
Some trucks like 'em tight. Some trucks make 'em tight.

ReplyDeleteMy Walmart has extra large parking spots for trucks off to the side. It's mostly filled with small cars. I'm rarely able to find a space there.
