Agents of both the Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) and the USDA’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) accompanied the police officers who searched “White Lotus Royal Buffet“, looking for dog meat.

Shit. I've eaten at more than a couple buffets in Chinatown. I wonder if this was one of them.
Go to the home page of that newspaper. Defiantly News of the Weird
ReplyDeleteIt's a weird site. There's at least one factual story on the front page (the daughter installing camera in her bedroom thing seems to have happened) but it's surrounded by stories that don't stand up to a quick search.
DeleteDog be good and shit...
ReplyDeleteWhen served rat meat an rice, one does not ask. Ya chow down.
ReplyDelete>>according to the authorities, could have murdered hundreds of dogs
ReplyDeleteUse of the word "murder" is incorrect with animals, per Merriam Webster.
"Our cuisine is dog-gone good!" (rimshot/sting)
ReplyDeleteHalf the new on that site are reprints from world news daily, which generates fake news stories as commedy.
ReplyDeleteThe one about the 14 year old girl is true but from 2020.

If they are serving dog it's a sure bet other "unusual" animals are also on the menu
ReplyDeleteDaryl
Puts a whole new light on wokking the dog.
ReplyDeleteVery good, made me chuckle out loud.

DeleteWe used to eat regularly at resturant in Morgan City, La until it was closed down. Seems the inspectors found nutra, rats, cats, dogs, possums, and unknown remains in meat locker.
ReplyDeleteIf it's cooked to 140° you'll be ok. Suck it up, Johnny. Plus, they know how to make it taste good.
ReplyDeleteThe most disgusting aspect of eating at a Chink buffet is the customers who handled the serving spoon before you touched it. Coughing, sneezing, rubbing away snot, and wiping your ass all involve people's fingers that often don't get washed after said event. A true fact to consider.
I kid you not.
ReplyDeleteA Chinese family moved into the top floor of a 2 story restaurant building in Morro Bay, CA. From the narrow back yard was the barking of maybe twenty dogs.
Over time the barking gradually became less. Soon after the last dog was gone, the restaurant closed and the building vacant.

ReplyDeleteNot to be a doubter, but I'm a Veterinarian working for FSIS and I have yet to hear of either FSIS or APHIS going to a restaurant. That would be state jurisdiction, not federal. (Federal only if they sold their dog meat across state lines...)
ReplyDeleteHawoh.
