GALVESTON COUNTY, Texas - A Baytown man, who sexually abused three young girls, including a 5-year-old paraplegic, was sentenced to life in prison without parole.
The article says that the prosecutors asked for the life sentence. Further quoting the prosector that a life sentence was the 'only way' to ensure this perv never does it again.
But TX has a death penalty. A unanimous vote by the jury is required. But in the case of a hung jury, the death penalty automatically goes to a life sentence.
So it's not as if the prosecutor wanted to avoid a hung jury. So why didn't the prosecutor ask for the death penalty?
The perv was already indicted for previous crimes against minor girls when he did these last crimes. The lawyers talk of justice being done. I strenuously disagree. A life sentence for this habitual creep is not justice.
The only way to prevent a future occurrence by this pervert is a life sentence, but without protective custody. A 5 year old paraplegic???? Even the worst inmates will make sure this scum has a 'short' life sentence!
Currently, under the Uniform Code of Military Justice, 14 offenses are punishable by death. Under the following sections of the UCMJ, the death penalty can be imposed in both times of war and peace:
94 – Mutiny or sedition 99 – Misbehavior before the enemy 100 – Subordinate compelling surrender 101 – Improper use of countersign 102 – Forcing a safeguard 103a – Espionage 104 – Aiding the enemy 110 – Improper hazarding of vessel 118 – Murder 120 – Rape
It would be wrong to let Netflix profit off the suffering of innocent children. Cast that retched creep to the animals behind bars, and let them dispose of the body. Offer support to the victims that they may heal and find peace.
Let's hope someone in the prison he's in administers real justice.

DeleteThere is no death penalty allowed for rape anywhere in this country per the Supreme Court

So according to the above, most members of Congress are eligible!
DeleteWas the perp here legally? Trump warned us that Mexico was delivering their murderers and rapist to us in the U.S.A.
ReplyDeleteIf he's put in general population I'd give 100 to 1 on less than 24hrs.
ReplyDeletehe's got bad paperwork, he will be dealt with accordingly when he's inside
ReplyDeleteWould it be wrong to call for slow, public torture? Netflix could make a fortune.
