  2. Won't be hard to identify them as enemy. Buckets heads amidst all them white Europeans. Yea, they'll blend in just fine.

  4. Silliest by far. Are they flying or taking the train through Russia? If I had to fight North Koreans I would shell them with cel phones texting offers of Happy Meals in exchange for for weapons. Zampolits will either run out of ammo or lead the rush. 50K or 500K? Great story, though.

    1. It isn't the zampolits on the battlefield, it is the Stasi back in Nork that will take their entire family away for torture or organ harvesting if somebody defects in Ukraine.

    2. Why would the Norks defect, they'll be on the winning side....

    3. @anonymous 1:37 to keep from going back to North Korea, of course.

  5. The more soldiers that move off the DMZ the happier South Korea will be, so go for it Kimmie!

The big question is will the Norks be combat-effective or just cannon fodder in a modern battlefield. I will bet the volun-tolds (not volunteers) are going for the chance of real meals instead of starvation-level rations they get now.

  7. I'd be amazed if they git more than a company or two over to Ukraine. Looks more like a propaganda stunt

  10. Didn't this rumor pop up over a year ago? Didn't it get laughed out of the room back then?

    1. Look at pictures of N. Korean Generals in uniform - so many medals they have to put them on their trouser legs....

Now, considering that N. Korea hasn't been in combat since around 1953, what do you think they KNOW about combat?

Cannon fodder worked in 1953, it will work in 2023!

    2. I read someplace a while back that Chinese officers are allowed to wear their father's and grandfather's awards.
Don't quote me on that, I didn't research it any further, but that's my understanding.

  12. The way this works is that the NORKs, if this is true, end up renting out their army. They no longer have to cover the pay and sustenance, Russia does. NORK regime benefits. The NORKs then get whatever comes back, with the benefit of live combat training, NORKs benefit (live fire training is expensive!). Don't doubt for a minute that the Russian "pay" for these dudes will not get skimmed by many layers of the criminal enterprise that is North Korea (NORKs). In the end, these guys are destined to be meat for the grinder.
