And now from my RINO governor:

Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee signed an executive order to tighten background checks on Tuesday, marking a victory for gun reformers in the GOP-controlled state.

Lee also called upon the state legislature to pass a “red flag” law that will make it easier to remove guns from people who pose a danger to themselves or others.

    1. He's termed out which is why he's showing his true colors - he's got nothing to lose. We'll vote in somebody more Conservative next time around.

    2. Hopefully the next governor understands the concept of what's blatantly unconstitutional and what's not.

    3. He's done some good things like the permitless carry, but then he'll go off and pull some Leftist shit. That's what's so damned aggravating about him, you don't know which way he's going to go.

  9. There are too many laws on the books not that are not enforced. I have held a theory for a long time, that for each new law the politicians dream up and pass, they need to scrap, rescind, remove, erase, two old ones and any supporting legislation that pertains to the now soon to be gone laws. Less government is better government.

    1. President Trump implemented your dream. And it hardly made a difference. Which means that there are so many laws that canceling two for every one is unnoticeable.

Lots of people have heard, ignorance of the law is no excuse. But the other part of that quote is, the law must be knowable.

Long have I said that the law is so onerous that it is unknowable. Ask any regulatory inspector, any law enforcement officer, any prosecutor, any judge and they will answer, if they are honest, that they do not know the law.

  10. So the day after NY's Red Flag Laws are declared unconstitutional, Bill decides this is exactly what Tennessee needs.

  11. You just need to redflag every member of his protection detail. But why stop there...

  12. He's unknowable to you because it is not you he serves. This is not exagerration, hyperbole or a platitude.

  13. “Lee also called upon the state legislature to pass a ‘red flag’ law that will make it easier to remove guns from people who pose a danger to themselves or others.”

Red Flag Law is an insidious infringement on the 2A. It gives someone who doesn’t like someone else... for example, a separated or divorced couple, the ability to report their estranged partner as being “dangerous” –whether that is true or not– and the authorities can then move in an confiscate all legally owned firearms.

Your governor needs to be kicked to the curb.

    1. I've yet to see a Red Flag law that has a procedure for recovery of your firearms or retribution for a malicious claim by a former partner; it's all about grabbing the guns and ammo (and only the guns and ammo, mental health treatment is another thing) .

And a little more about NY's Red Flag law being struck down as unconstitutional:
