Dude was on a roll

A 23-year-old man from Los Angeles has been arrested on a federal criminal complaint alleging he committed 31 armed robberies at convenience stores across Southern California during a 3-and-a-half-week-long crime spree in which he also reportedly committed two carjackings.

  3. It's only a slap on the wrist.
You need 32 robberies and 3 carjackings for an actual crime.

  4. Dollars to donuts he beats the Hobbs rap. Which leads me to question which brainiac conjured that brilliant idea.

Maybe the locals wanted the feds to pay to prosecute. Maybe they couldn't decide on jurisdiction so they just pushed the pile onto the feds.

  5. With a little less effort, he could have got a real full-time job.

  6. That's some creative law enforcement to get the feds involved in something that isn't political!

  7. Couldn't even do local or state charges (yeah revolving door to the street), had to pony up a federal criminal charge. That will be a different court anyway. See what happens.

  8. If he did it 200 years ago, he'd have songs, stories, and legends built around him! But, because he's an Irish guy named Namir Malik Ali Greene, he's trash. Crazy world.
