Six visible pumps and they all looks pretty damn empty to me.
I never feel silly backing up because I overshot the pump, but I feel like an idiot when I'm stretching the hose out because I was too stupid to park close enough.
Having observed peoples' inane driving habits over years I can understand how their obnoxious stupidy can carry over to refuling. Incidentally, the tag indicates an EU asshole.
I frequently observe people trying to fill the car from the opposite side of the pump. The fun always begins because they still stay further away from the pump instead of closer to it for the longer reach.

I have said for many years: If they didn't have boobs and a vagina, we would have exterminated them centuries ago. I am more than cable of cooking, cleaning, and handling my own business.
