First, it was Hershey's, then it was Bud Light, and now, Jack Daniels is the latest brand this year to be facing a boycott over claims the company has "gone woke."
Social media users have taken offense to the whiskey brewer's "small town, big pride" campaign in which it teamed up with drag queens from Ru Paul's Drag Race—despite the campaign being nearly two years old.

All the woke kids this ad campaign is aimed at buy "artisan" bourbon, not Jack. They have completely lost sight of their traditional clientele, conservative rednecks that work for a living and don't have the time for you gender bullshit.
ReplyDeleteNo problem taking these out of my cabinet for a .308 style execution.
ReplyDeleteJohn Rich - Redneck Riviera is my new go to.
After 50 years, I stopped drinking Jack Daniels when news of this, or a similar event, came out 6-8 months ago. It turned out to be 'a blessing in disguise', because I have since discovered several bourbons I prefer. My current favorite is Elijah Craig 'small batch'.
ReplyDeleteEd
That's not a bad bourbon, and anything I buy is small batch. I don't buy cask strength or barrel proof of any bourbon because it's a little too stiff for me.
DeleteTry small batch Larceny bourbon next time you buy some. It's really, really good.
"Small Batch" that's a coincidence!
DeleteEvan Williams Small Batch is also good, and cheap.
DeleteI watch a couple youtube bourbon channels where they do blind taste tests, and Evan Williams small batch always places near the top when it's included.
DeleteTry drinking George Dickel instead of Jack!!!
DeleteTennis shoes washing? No thanks
ReplyDeleteSwitched to French Vodka years ago. If I’m drinking whiskey, I drink something made in batches so small it don’t make it to store shelves. Eod1sg Ret
ReplyDeleteTheir web site has a web contact form. I used it to send them some mockery. Web contact forms are fun because you don't need to put in any real names or addresses, they simply need to look real.
ReplyDeleteI buy jack every few months or so, and I was going to replenish my supply. Now, I'm getting something else to drink. Thanks for the post.
ReplyDeleteNever been a big fan of JD, but had it once in a while. Now, IF it shows up, it'll be for target practice - with FULL bottles! I will NEVER drink this woke shit again!! Not even if someone gives the shit to me. F*** JD and ANY and/or ALL their woke asshol* buddies! Personally, I hope every dam one of em goes totally broke and outta business. Fug 'em ALL!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteNot that it matters to a majority of commenters here..
ReplyDeleteBut Tampax has signed it as a promoter.
For a product it is incapable of using.
Things are racing downhill with this shit.

stopped by with my dad at grandma place on the way home back in the middle 1970's
ReplyDeletepicked up a bottle of JD to share with the folks there. my one uncle looked at it and said dump that shit. he then pulled a bottle out of the well in the backyard. he had a bottle of
Clyde's best as he called. damn smooth sippin Whisky . after drinking some of that.
JD was at best paint thinner. they used to make some damn good whisky back in the hills of eastern Ky. shame that most of the old guys are gone now.
I've been a Squire for about 40 years. I'm thinking about turning in my squire card. Gentleman squires don 't subscribe to this insanity. I don't drink Jack anymore, but I do imbibe Gentleman's on the rare occasion that I'm not imbibing a good single malt. I'm done with Gentleman's.
ReplyDeleteNemo
Jack has always been nasty, so no skin off my nose.
ReplyDeleteGeorge Dickle, Ezra Brooks, Evan Williams, all are 10X better than Jack.
It’s amazing how much damage one little faggot can do.
