"people who need to have their LEGAL weapons taken away....."

California Attorney General Rob Bonta released a report on Monday showing a slight reduction in the number of people who need to have their legal weapons taken away because they've either been convicted of certain crimes or have some sort of restraining order against them.

The program is part of California's Armed and Prohibited Persons System (also known as APPS), which has been tracking firearm owners since 2006 who are prevented from having them because they were convicted of a felony, certain misdemeanors, have a restraining order against them or had a mental health triggering event.

California is the only state in the country with this kind of system.

    'Still plenty of armed criminals out here in the Wild, Wild West. If you had a bad day at work and someone called the cops, no guns for you! Come across the border illegally? Here's your Section Eight, Welfare, food stamps, free medical... and I don't worry about the ILLEGAL handgun I saw stuck in your belt... Pretty soon the transition from California to Mexico Norte will be complete. No one will be allowed to have guns, but everyone will have guns... Don't worry though. Biden is doing his damnedest to turn the whole country into California...

    Just a reminder. Rob Bonta is the guy who heads the agency that released the names, physical addresses and other vital information of every concealed carry permit holder and applicant in California last year. But it was just an 'accident'.

      After all, "presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law" is such an antiquated notion.
