An Ohio school bus driver resigned in despair after screaming at students who sprayed perfume on her bus in the hopes of making her have an asthma attack.
Jackie Miller was filmed telling the alleged teenage bullies to 'shut your mouth' in the town of Amherst where she'd worked for the past two years, before finally declaring 'I'm done with this s**t!'
It was most likely middle schoolers. If there is any trouble on a high school bus it is usually 9th graders and upperclassmen will usually sort it out. Middle schoolers are going through hormonal changes and are trying to figure themselves out so they push the boundaries.
Dean Hargow didn't put up with that shit. He'd pull the bus over, walk back to the little asshole and grab them by the collar, ear, hair, whatever was handy to grab, and pull them to the front of the bus and throw them in a seat he kept reserved for miscreants. Daryl
This is our school district. We have one (5 kids) still in high school. The vast majority of the local population are cheering her on and understand. Big picture, as everywhere out there, there is a lack of discipline in the homes. That's across most of the country. The school district is still the best around the area, but has been declining for some time. This is due to what i stated above, but also the City of Lorain building houses, redrawing school districts, etc. Basically, there are 100's, if not more, of kids that attending Amherst schools now that should not be. My kids have been attending this district for the last 21 years. We have had a front row seat to watch the decline. Be it gov't intrusion, poor parenting, or whatever you might want to say. But mostly it has been from bringing so many kids into the district that have no reason to be here.
There is a shortage of school bus drivers in my area that is so bad that the schools had to modify their start and dismissal times to account for it. (...to much wailing and gnashing of teeth from the parents!) One day, I mused to my wife that I could drive a bus. Maybe I should apply. She replied: "Those kids would chew you up and spit you out on the first day!" She had a point, but I told her I had the solution to that. On the first day, I would grab the first miscreant and beat his ass right there in front of everyone. The rest of them will settle right down. She laughed and said: "True, but you wouldn't be a bus driver any more. Instead you would be making little ones out of big ones at the state prison!" I was only kidding about being a bus driver, of course. But she was right. And there is not enough money in their treasury to get me to get up that early just to drive a bunch of hormone-addled kids around.
My junior high bus route took us past the rival junior high. I snuck some water balloons onto the bus and me and my buddies chucked them at the other school’s students. We did it a few times but they finally caught us. I had to ride my damned bike to school after that because I was banned from the bus.

ReplyDeleteAsthma attacks can be fatal. Sounds like grounds for justifiable homicide to me.
ReplyDeleteSpare the rod....
ReplyDeleteMy bus driver had a paddle. Nobody misbehaved.
I bought one of her t-shirts to support her.

Kick those kids off the bus. Don’t behave and no ride.
