Tennessee legislature poised to pass bill limiting civil suits against gun makers, sellers

NASHVILLE, Tenn.--The Tennessee legislature is poised to pass a bill which would limit the circumstances under which a person could sue gun manufacturers, dealers, and sellers.

SB0822/HB1189 is sponsored by Senator Joey Hensley (R-Hohenwald-D28) and Representative Monty Fritts (R-Kingston-D32).

  1. AZ prohibits civil suit against a person who has been found not guilty in criminal trial; such as in the act of self defense.
So, in AZ, the Kenosha Kid would not be defendant in civil suit.

TN, and other states need to do likewise.

    1. I believe TN already has such a law prohibiting you from being sued if you shoot somebody in self defense.
