Texas judge rules abortion pill Mifepristone be halted

HOUSTON - A Texas federal judge has halted the FDA's approval of mifepristone, a medication used for medically-induced abortions.

Appointed by the Trump administration, Judge Matthew Kacsmaryk of Amarillo agrees with the anti-abortion groups in the lawsuit that claims the drug was improperly approved for use by the FDA over 20 years ago, which imposes dangers on the women who use it.

  2. It is difficult to call something safe and effective if its only use is to kill a living baby, and also has been proven to send women to the hospital with massive bleeding.

It has no medical use other than death.

    So theres that.

  3. Great, first we get legislation from the bench, now we get medical mandates from the bench. I wonder how far the courts are willing to push this power grab?
