Commentary: Look Ahead, Not Backwards, to Hold the Justice Department Accountable

Release of Special Counsel John Durham’s report on law enforcement and intelligence misconduct related to the 2016 presidential election has been met with outrage, recriminations, and a justified amount of vindication for those, including President Donald Trump, who helped expose the brazen operation from the start.

  1. Democrats are looking ahead alright: the 2024 elections: they NEED the DOJ to take that one.

    1. Neurotic, obsessed, no moral compass Democrats have proven they will steamroll the “play fair by the rules, can't we all be friends” Republicans every time.

  2. I haven’t seen it mentioned anywhere in the numerous articles, analyses or commentaries….

Did Durham wait until after the statue of limitations had expired…?

  3. Just look at the part of Durham's report about the Hunter laptop letter, signed by fifty one intelligence agents, declaring the laptop "Russian disinformation". That's election interference under 18 U.S. Code § 594, a federal felony.

...and nothing will happen to any of them, just like when Clapper and Brennan lied, under oath, to Congress about whether the See Eye Aaa was spying on every day Americans without warrants or even suspicion of a crime, not to mention that the See Eye Aaa's charter prohibits them from operating on U.S. soil.

They give us the finger and we do nothing.

  4. There is a primary principle in play here... there is no real accountability.
