Daniel Penny breaks silence over Jordan Neely death

Daniel Penny, the Marine veteran who put homeless man Jordan Neely in a fatal chokehold earlier in May, has broken his silence about the incident.

In an interview with the New York Post published Saturday, Penny said that he was "deeply saddened" by Neely's death.

  1. It wasn't a "chokehold". It was a head lock. BIG difference...

    1. And it wasn't fatal. The dipshit was up and talking after he let him go.

  2. I am saddened by Penny's woes, but Neely's death improved society.

  3. The dude needs to STFU, the prosecutor is paying attention to every word he says and how to use it against him.

    1. I'm sure his attorneys, the ones that raised over 2.7 million bucks for him through the Give/Send/Go they set up, reviewed and approved his statement.

    3. Wirecutter is right. The marine and his lawyers are getting out the whole story to potentials jurors. This is another case of a political prosecution. White man bad, even if he is protecting others.

    4. You're not reading between the lines, WC. They set that G/S/G account up for themselves to get paid. He'll get nothing from it if acquitted, OTOH the state will give him something if found guilty. He needs to shut up and quit handing prosecution ammo and giving away the defense playbook.

    5. Spartacus, I'm well aware of that, it even plainly says so in the description of the fundraiser. It's set up to pay legal bills and civil awards if there are any.
Myself, I wouldn't say anything, but like I said, I'm sure what he did say was approved by his attorneys.
