Target sued because criminals were shot by cops

KISSIMMEE, Fla. – Attorneys for three men involved in a deadly incident with Osceola County deputies last year have filed a lawsuit against Target, where the shooting took place.

Jayden Baez, 20, was killed and two others were hurt in the April 2022 shooting, which stemmed from the theft of Pokémon cards and a pizza from the Target on West Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway and the ramming of a sheriff’s cruiser, according to investigators.

  1. Just another countless example of why I absolutely loath lawyers. We have a system built by attorneys, for attorneys and they all (the judge, plaintiff/prosecuting attorney & the defendants attorney) feed out of the trough off of us.

    2. There are honorable lawyers in the world, and trust me, we hate these dirt-bag, bottom-feeding, exploitive, anti-social parasites as much as the rest of you do.

  2. Need to start tarring and feathering the lawyers who perpetrate this bullshit. Then sue them for malicious and frivolent lawsuits. It's way past time to rein in the legal insanity.

Tar and feather the families as a warning.

    2. It is almost impossible to sue an attorney for filing a frivolous lawsuit (everyone is entitled to his day in court!), although once in a while a frequent offender is sanctioned by the Court. The client is usually "judgment proof," meaning even if you win, you cannot collect your judgment from his broke @ss - and without a written contract allowing you to recover attorneys' fees (which never happens in cases like this one), you pay for those fees out of pocket, and the fees are often greater than the recovery (especially where the loser client has no assets to pay the recovery).
