On Steven Shaviro’s personal Facebook page this month, the professor, philosopher, and writer, addressed so-called 'right-wing' speakers being allowed to speak on university campuses, starting with, "So here is what I think about free speech on campus."
Get rid of all the false agents. We don’t need them, and could save a lot of tax dollars.
ReplyDeleteI suspect he'll change his tune when its people like him that are targeted and his free speech rights and life are threatened. Ivory tower types like this never think that they might get punched back.
ReplyDeleteI bet he comes back with "But muh Free Speech" without a hint of ironical self-awareness.

ReplyDeleteThere was a time when Michigan was actually a balanced place to live, and no matter what party you were in, you were welcome and did not feel out of place.
Not anymore. The Empress of Lansing continues to pass laws to control the people. With the recent gun laws passed, now they are passing laws so you can not even talk on your phone in your car. Texting has been illegal for years, but now they are going for not even talking, unless you are dialing 911.
Who knows what they want next?
I think they misspelled Shapiro’s name

ReplyDeleteDaryl
