When you can't win for losing

Five Chicago gay bars are boycotting Anheuser-Busch for distancing itself from transgender social media star Dylan Mulvaney after her Arpil 1 collaboration drew conservatives’ ire and calls for a Bud Light boycott.

Sidetrack Bar in Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood shared its boycott plan on Instagram, noting the brewer’s moves “strongly bring into question their support of the LGBTQ+ community.”

Now they got the regular people and the rainbow people pissed at them. Shit, they might as well call in the dogs, piss on the fire and head to the big house. They're done.

  1. Better 5 gay bars than 500 other establishments. A-B InBev is learning some hard (and expensive) business lessons: You can't keep everyone happy, so do the least amount of damage. And NEVER get caught up in controversial social issues!

  2. I rejected AB products years ago simply because they taste like piss from a diabetic warthog.

  3. I used to drink Bud and Michelob but have become pickier in my dotage so haven't bought their products for many years. I've never tried a light at all so I really don't have a dog in this race, but it seems these guys just can't shoot themselves in the foot enough!

How's the axiom go? If you're in a hole and you want out, step one is stop digging!

  4. Why 'piss on the fire'? They may as well throw their beer on the fire, not much difference.😂

  5. Latest attempt to recover is to fire the ad agency. Well deserved no doubt- I'm sure the agency was indeed one of, if not the, instigators. But. Visibly can the VP, her boss, and about 3 levels of lower marketing staff, and then issue a very public 'we screwed up' from higher. And then make a permanent commitment to STFU on ALL political issues. That might do it.

  6. Can't live with them, can't shoot'em, zero trade-in value.

  7. “Cruel and hurtful.” Horrors. Such fragile folks. I'm sure their clientele will still go there to suck down a few, with or without a beer chaser.

  8. “can clearly demonstrate that they will not acquiesce to the voices of hate that wish to erase LGBTQ+ existence.”

I do not think those words mean, what xe thinks they mean.

  9. Or, the gay community sees that Anheuser Busch is getting crushed by the straight community's boycott but doesn't want to admit it, so they claim to boycott AB so they can take credit for its inevitable demise.

  11. Hey lgtbqxyz'ers, if your beer tastes like piss, you're most likely guzzling from the wrong tap!

  12. They cannot chose saving the brand because they cannot ignore ISG + DIE. It's a cognitive dissonance inaction. They're locked in, and they're locked in to QUERTY. DIE, , you QUERTY effers.
