Not as bad as that guy's chest hurts. That was a direct full speed hit, almost as bad a the one Brian Meeker took in Syracuse, NY in 1981. Look up the video, it's brutal.
#9 They used to use the side horse for vaulting a longtime ago. They simply took off the handles and turned it longways toward the person vaulting. I watched more than one person hit that small cross section square in the chest, I suspect it was redesigned as a safety feature.
