Good news, Californians!

California drivers may not take much comfort in this, but the Golden State no longer has the most expensive gasoline in the United States.

*****

It's been holding steady at $3.13 a gallon around here, but it's still a far cry from where it was before Biden took office.

  3. Yep. I paid $4.99/gal. on 13 June in WA for just enough to get me across the border into Idaho to buy gas...which is where I now buy gas.

    1. Before somebody tells me that I voted for this, I would like to go on record to say that I did not vote for this. But since Washington state has had mail in ballots for years now, I wonder whether my vote is counted at all.

  4. The article doesn't mention why Washington's gas is suddenly more expensive. It's because they are now charging a Cap and Trade fee on every gallon, just like California did several years ago. The cancer spreads.

When Jerry Brown became governor for the third time in 2011 the annual budget was just over $100 billion. Today it's over $300 billion with a $40 billion deficit.
To the Left, it's never enough. The more they have the more they want to take. And the more money they take, the more Democrat voters they create in the form of permanent government employees.

  7. $2.99 for unbranded reg. unleaded here at the IGA in town, Sam's Club will probably be a few cents cheaper although they're still a clusterf*ck to get in and out of with their one way in and out. Oh look, it's raining again. Bet I've dumped at least 6" outta the rain gauge in the last 3 days, Pond is looking good though, yard is like a sponge...

    1. Which is exactly what the cheapest gas is in Grass Valley, CA. That's $1.53 more than it is per gallon in Lafayette, Tennessee.

Your $4.69 a gallon price tells me that Oregon has also started charging a Cap and Trade fee on fuel.

    2. I just read that Kate Brown signed an executive order creating the Cap and Trade system in 2020 and it's just now taking effect. You've been Californicated.

      You too have been Californicated.

    1. Sounds about right. The cheapest it got here in California was just under three bucks.
That was back in the good old days of Energy Independence and Mean Tweets.

A quick check of Gasbuddy.com for my old hometown of Modesto shows 2 Shell stations selling gas at $4.99 a gallon.

  15. 4.29 in the Frozen Freakin North. I’d be scared to think what it’d run in Kotzebue, Nome, or Barrow. Last I was in any of those, back in the good ol Trump days, it was 6 & change. I’d wager somewhere near 10 by now….
