Alarming Erosion of Bipartisan Support for the First Amendment
Last week, a federal judge in Louisiana issued a preliminary injunction that bars a long list of federal officials and agencies from encouraging social media platforms to suppress politically disfavored speech. The response to that decision starkly illustrates an alarming erosion of bipartisan support for the evenhanded application of free speech principles.

Brings to mind that old saying: "When there's a boot stamping on your face, it doesn't matter if it's a left boot or a right boot."
ReplyDeleteGird yer loins folks I see it getting a lot worse. A survey recently has 30% of millennials saying calling a male tranny he or him should warrant jail time. The social cancer began when the Commies invaded the universities over 60 years ago. Now every institution in our society is at stage 4. That includes NGOs like the churches and charities along with governmental agencies like the DOJ, FBI, CIA & Military.
ReplyDeleteRead The Anti-Communist Manifesto and weep.
DeleteAt this point, the social media co's and the MSM are trained as are the lower courts. Some federal judge ruled recently that the government SHOULD be restrained from policing speech. That ruling was stayed, IN EMERGENCY by a Dee Ohh Jay APPEAL to the next federal higher court.
ReplyDeleteThat should tell anyone all they need to know about the state of the First Amendment.
The stay and appeal should be denied by the SJC, should be 9-0, however it wouldn't surprise me, if, once heard at SJC, the ruling is 5-4.
Lest we forget, in 2011, Obama passed a law, through both houses, overturning the previous law prohibiting the Federal Government from using propaganda on U.S. Citizens that had been in place since 1949. The 1949 law was put in place so that the See Eye Aaa couldn't deceive citizens, not that they ever complied anyway.
Look where we are now, since 2011.

ReplyDeleteWhat we are seeing is an alarming erosion of supporting for the concept of Rights. The criminals who seek office don't want us...their intended slaves...to have any Rights. Annthey are working feverishly to make that goal a reality.
ReplyDeleteI think the word you're looking for is endentured servents...... we will own nothing but owe them endlessly
