  1. A nuclear detonation releases a significant EMP...Electro Magnetic Pulse. Watches of that era were always mechanical and contained ferrous parts which could be magnetized by such a pulse rendering the watch inoperable at the moment of exposure.

  2. Look at Hiroshima, Nagasaki, and compare them today to Chicago, Detroit, You'll see who really got bombed....

  3. You know, its truly sad.... but after all the BS I've seen in the last 5 years that proves everything the government says is a lie that is fake and ghey, I'm willing to bet this is fake and ghey too!

  4. I wouldn't screw with the Japanese, nuclear events have little to no effect on them aside from the initial explosions.

Hiroshima, Nagasaki, Fukushima... hell, they're living and farming near the nuke plant, and I haven't heard of any two-headed sumo wrestlers running around like Master Blaster in the deserted nuclear wastelands...

Or nukes are FAKE AND GAY like EVERYTHING ELSE we've been taught our whole lives.

  6. Airburst nukes are easily recoverable after the initial die off (see Hiroshima and Nagasaki); ground burst nuke or large 'dirty bomb' type events take possibly hundreds of years to recover (see Chernobyl).

  7. Hmmmm… the hour hand on the watch indicates ~0845, but the minute hand does indeed show 0815. Staged perhaps?

  11. the little hand shouldn't be that close to the 9 if it's only 8:15

    1. Because 15 kilotons of explosive won't disturb those paper thin hands, right?

  12. Trivia question for all you old timers out there:
Who made the tag line "Takes a licking and keeps on licking" famous?

Anyone who cheats and uses a search engine shall be whipped 20 lashes with a wet noodle.

  13. I was all geared up to cry "Fake!" because of the Roman numerals rather than Kanji on a Japanese watch, but it turns out Roman numerals are (and were) widely used in Japan, including on watch faces. I learned something new today.

    1. Go ahead and cry fake, anyway. Look at the alignment of the hour hand; it is too far advanced to be 15 minutes after the hour.

    2. It's ok if you want to call fake. The alignment of the hour hand is too far advanced for 15 minutes after the hour. Someone, or something fiddled with the hand alignment.

    3. Starker here,
      Gotta pick nits.
      0-9 are Arabic Numerals not Roman Numerals; I, V, X, L, C, M are.
