LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) — A man in Virginia had a not-so-average trip to Waffle House recently. He went there to grab a bite to eat, but when he went inside there was no one to be found.
William Davis woke up hungry and drove from Brookneal to the Waffle House in Lynchburg around 3 a.m. Tuesday morning.
No, they're outside smoking because, at least here in Georgia, all restaurants are now non-smoking. I've had this happen quite a few times over the last ten years. If you show up a WH at 3am, just be patient. Its not like you're at home cooking your own 3am breakfast.
Had a similar experience in an iHop here in South Texas, only it was mid-afternoon on a weekday. Eight of us walk in - no greeter, no waitresses, no patrons. We could have robbed the place blind. Eventually some very young woman appeared from the back of the store, seemingly annoyed to have been disturbed. Even moreso when I snarkily said, "We can come back, if this is a bad time..." Smallest tip I've ever left.
Out back having sex and doing drugs. come back inside and wipe it off onto your waffle.
