NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Two Tennesseans have been found safe after they were reported missing a week ago in Alaska, troopers announced on Friday.
Jonas Bare, 50, and Cynthia Hovsepian, 37, of Nashville were last seen on a hiking trail at Chena Hot Springs Resort on Aug. 10.
Petted a bear or goosed a moose.
ReplyDeleteChena Hot Springs is a coooool place.
ReplyDeleteIn the main spring, there's an aboveground pipe that shoots hot water into the pool. Every time I've been there, there are heavily tattooed Russians sitting by that pipe speaking in Russian. When someone gets to close to them, they all stop talking and glare until the person leaves. It's cool AF.
I've met the owner of Chena, Bernie Karl. Super high-energy guy, and prolific inventor. He made a fortune recycling industrial equipment after the Alaska Pipeline project. At Chena, he designed custom indoor grow rooms using shipping containers and grows all the produce for the resort. Also designed systems for extracting heat energy out of the geothermal wells.
