Carlos Santana faced criticism on Thursday when a video of the musician making anti-transgender comments during a concert in New Jersey in July resurfaced on social media.
"When God made you and me, before we came out of the womb, you know who you are and what you are," the guitarist is seen saying in the clip.
I used to enjoy that Trump hater's music. F him now. If you need to hear it use a content downloader to steal it off youtube.
ReplyDeleteBlack Majic Tranny?
ReplyDeleteGood, more people to need to stand up
ReplyDeleteTry reading the story before you comment. You might be surprised at what happened. But maybe not.
DeleteSantana was one of those bucket list musicians I felt I had to see at some point in my life, so I got good seats to his concert a year or two ago.
ReplyDeleteI will say it was disappointing, and not necessarily for the music.
He was pretty vile against us. He made a lot of comments about race, but more troubling is when he outright called to get rid of the Constitution. Screw him.
Carlos should not have tried to walk back his original comments as they were right.
ReplyDeleteThere goes his rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction.
ReplyDelete- WDS
Carlos….
ReplyDeleteNever apologize Mister, it shows weakness.
People are fed up with the stupidity.
ReplyDeleteNo apologies.
ReplyDeleteJust ignore 'em, and they'll go away. Let's hope he's not so stupid as to apologize. That just makes 'em double-down.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't anybody read the fucking links any more???
DeleteApparently not. That takes too much effort. Part of the reason this nation is screwed.
DeleteIt drives me insane. There's times I wonder why I even fucking bother.
DeleteYou will never get everyone to read the information presented before commenting. Social media shows exactly the same thing.
DeleteAs for Santana, while a good musician, I have to say that the world has many other good guitar players. You know who they are. It is sad that some of them think that we give a shit about what they have to say about politics, either liberal or conservative. I have a hard time listening to the people whose job it is to actually give their opinion on politics. I certainly don't want to hear an amateur spout off on the anything, be it transgender, financial issues or the war in Ukraine, while trying to entertain me.
One more note on guitar players, while we all know a lot of professionals who are simply amazing, I know some who are nearly as good, but are content to live their lives in anonymity, raising their kids, now their grandkids, but have practiced and played since they were 7 or 8 years old. Just like the singers or bands who want to hit it big, but never do, there are thousands of musicians who are great but never get a recording deal, because they don't fit the mold.
I don't listen to modern music on the radio, because no matter how crazy we all are about the wonderful Taylor Swift, nearly every other singer sounds like her, or Beyonce', or the latest money maker. That is why I prefer the music from the 70's, when artists at least were willing to take chances with new ideas.
Yup, brave sir Carlos ran away. Again. Always been a weasel.
DeleteAnd then understand that the vast majority of voters are that uninformed and vote with conviction.
DeleteOk, back in the day last century santina came to our jr. college in the bay area of california.
ReplyDeleteAround 1968 before woodstock. It was my first concert. It was wonderful music, really rocking the joint. I bought their first album, then the second one they released. All good music on all tracks. There was no politics at all. Just get to the music and entertain the people. Too bad he went commie libturd over the years.

why do people feel like they "need" to let people know their beliefs. the one rule we have at the wellness center is, we don't discuss religion or politics unless we all agree to it. us old farts mostly have a blast ! illchuck
