yup. the wife bought some spinach salad mix in a bag and low and behold, there was a small frog in it. kind of freaked her out when she was washing it up. back around 2008-9 I think it was. anyway, my buddy who was there for the dinner said to her "don't waste it, it's extra protein !" dave in pa.
This is the best evidence EVER that it's safe to eat, and hasn't been sprayed with or otherwise (irrigation) exposed to something it shouldn't have been. How often has there been "recalls" on lettuce again? Amphibians are extremely sensitive to toxins in the environment.
So personally my response would be to relax a little, say "Oh, good! It's got a freshness guarantee!" and call the kids over to see.

That said, this happens fairly often.
Salad didn't seem to hurt the frog. Go ahead and eat it.
