In March, Katie Rinderle, a fifth-grade teacher at Cobb County School District, says she got in trouble for reading her class “My Shadow is Purple,” a picture book about a child who discovers they are neither a girl or a boy, according to the AP. The Cobb County School Board voted 4-3 to fire Rinderle, finding that the teacher had violated the state’s divisive concepts law, which bars educators from giving lessons on race and “espousing personal political beliefs.”
Hooray for small victories!
ReplyDeleteFire, as in "dismiss", or fire, in the sense of "burn that degenerate chained to a steel rail with napalm and phosphor"? Asking for academic friend....
ReplyDeleteNo, it's probably "fire" as in "allow her to resign so she can keep her pension and continue abusing children by taking a job at another school". Sorta like they do with police officers.
DeleteA child discovers that they are neither a girl or a boy? What are they, a speedboat? If an adult wants to decide that they identify as a different gender, or a speedboat, fine. But don't continue to push this into schools. At least not until schools start to ensure that every single student leaves knowing how to read and write, do enough simple math to function in society without problem, and perhaps understand our Constitution and how our government is supposed to function.
ReplyDeleteThat of course will push the date for gender instruction into the school system somewhere in the time when Star Trek is a reality instead of a science fiction television show.
Good!
ReplyDeleteMore of this, now.
ReplyDeleteRainy night in Georgia for that prog.
ReplyDeleteThese are ten, eleven year old kids and they had to be READ a PICTURE book? That's the real crime here. kids aren't being taught jack shit, just learning by rote. Yes I know the gist of the story, but this is what caught my attention.
ReplyDeleteDaryl
My very best wishes for her speedy departure to San Francisco, California, where she can find the environment she deserves.
ReplyDeletePerverts will burn in hell soon. And yayyy I hope more schools jump on that wagon.
ReplyDeleteIn NY the DA threatened to charge snyone who tried to ban books because they were lewd. WITAF....
ReplyDeleteThis was basically a setup. The teacher in question had been disciplined and warned about this type of material being presented, and she intentionally found another book to read and let it be known she would present it. Apparently she has some backers, possibly financial ones. Think Rosa Parks. The Cobb County SB has been basically under attack be leftists since just before Covid; the critics have openly stated they want to get rid of old white men etc. who happen to be conservative. This will keep happening here and elsewhere; liberal suburban white women love to clutch their pearls and moan about the turrible book banners. Most of the time it’s a deliberate PR setup just like this.
ReplyDeleteShe should be labeled a pediphile and never allowed near children again.
ReplyDeleteWatching the daily coverage on this, it was very evident she knew what she was doing. She claimed she was only trying to teach about self acceptance. Then why this book when she knew it was not acceptable? Actually surprised they fired her instead of a meaningless reprimand.
ReplyDeleteWhat are the odds that this "teacher" (activist) did this knowing that they would be fired, has everything documented for the lawsuit, will settle with the State for more money than you can shake a stick at, plus the stick, then just puts that on the resume to secure a mid 6 figure salary as an activist professor at some leftist institution of higher learning?
ReplyDeleteI'm gonna go out on a limb here and say it's better than even money that the job offers are already coming in, and there's a team of leftist "attorneys" (activists) already on retainer pro bono.
Oh, and let's not forget about the book deal and associated documentary.
Anyone doubt me? I almost want to go out and get my credentials just so I can do the same and set myself up financially for a few lifetimes.
This the left now.
I can guarantee you there are laws on the books she could and should be charged with. Firing is not sufficient.
