Three people charged in a case of abuse and neglect of six “severely disabled” residents of an unlicensed senior care facility in Riverside have been found guilty, according to a news release from California’s Attorney General.
Somethings never change. My sister worked for a licensed facility in that area some 50 years ago, when she was in high school. My dad made some phone calls after hearing what she had to say and the state closed it almost immediately.
So this is _not_ a senior care facility, but a nursing home for severely disabled young people. That's a more stressful job than tending folks disabled by age. Think of a man 6-foot tall that lacks the mental capacity to use the toilet or tell you what's bothering him - but he's as strong as any man when he lashes out in frustration.
