PERKINS, Okla. (KFOR) — A teacher was reportedly acting ‘weird’ in the classroom, but police say it wasn’t the first day of school jitters.
“The school administration contacted our school resource officer,” stated Sgt. Spencer Gedon with Perkins Police Department. “Whenever he got there, he saw some signs that maybe she was impaired.”
When I was a senior in HS, our math teacher was a notorious drunk. He had a quart thermos on his desk that was purportedly coffee, but was probably 50/50 coffee and booze. By third period he'd be slurring his words, every day. They finally bounced him a couple years later when he fell down drunk in front of his class.
Seems reasonable to me, I'd need a few glasses of wine to teach also. Also I live about 5 miles from Perkins so this is practically in my neighorhood :)
My wife's a teacher....she understands....I'll never forget a few years ago when she came home from the first day of school and I asked how it went.....she started crying....I never asked again....
She was teaching wine tasting 101.Way preferable to teaching the youngins they can change genders by changing their clothing

My 9th grade history teacher had a bong in his desk. Some days it was difficult to figure who was higher in 1st period.
ReplyDeleteIf I had to deal with those little gremlins, I'd fortify myself too.

ReplyDeleteAn English teacher in my 'high' school used to wear a belt with a tiny hash pipe (detachable) affixed to the buckle. Hey, man, it was the 70s.

ReplyDeleteHaving been in the educational trade, I don't approve, but I fully understand.
ReplyDeleteMore than once, I said "Fuck it, let the little shits stay ignorant."
