If approved by Metro, officers would carry the BolaWrap, a handheld device that fires a lasso-like cord that wraps around a person’s legs or waist. The wraps are equipped with hooks that are supposed to sink into clothing and restrict a person’s ability to move until police can detain them.
Yeesh, journalism school graduates....How does the last paragraph tie in with the rest of the article?
ReplyDeleteWhere can I get one? They wrap arms so resistance is futile. Hell that'd be way better than dropping some Rohypnol into a 7&7 because it'll leave no trace in the blood stream.
ReplyDeleteHow though does the BolaWrap know the target is a democrat and therefore should not be used?
ReplyDeleteWoot! I own stock in this company!!!
ReplyDelete(Its a neat product, frankly, surprised it hasn't taken off more since the St. Floyd of Fentanyl riots.)

Fare enforcement just took a big step forward.
ReplyDeleteI guess they'll carry this BolaWrap in a special compartment on their Bat Belts.

Buckshot is diversity incarnate, green, cheap, and stops folks from fleeing Free range too if you don’t pattern. We should lease out Cali to the cartels or chicoms.
ReplyDeleteIts only green if you use sand instead of shot.
DeleteThey have used a variant of this in Argentina for centuries.
ReplyDeleteDo they make a smaller version to use on children? As a grandpa who occasionally babysits, I'm just asking for a friend.
ReplyDeleteSpiderman! Spiderman! Does whatever a BolaWrap can!

ReplyDeleteJust last weekend in Koreatown, LAPD deployed its newest robots after a man armed with what appeared to be an assault rifle, but was an airsoft rifle, fired on officers outside a restaurant and then barricaded himself in a parking garage stairwell.
It seems like if someone was FIRING at you it would be obvious pretty quickly whether it were assault or airsoft. Even robocop was fooled.
